Underwater Safari

Quick sculpt and illustration of a sea monster made for a theme park movie ride called "Seafari" (1994), produced by the now defunct but amazing VFX studio "Rhythm and Hues". I have been meaning to recreate a sculpt of this monster in Zbrush and bring it to life again in illustration for a long time.
Dedicated to Keith Hunter, who was modeling supervisor at R & H. Though I never worked with him, I had the privilege of meeting him a few times as I got my start in the industry and he was a real inspiration and great mentor to many.
